Dress is casual and informal (even at dinner time), with emphasis on casual resort wear. Include a light jacket/sweater for cooler evenings and of course, don’t forget to pack your swimwear, sun hat, sunglasses, sunblock, mosquito repellant and a t-shirt for snorkelling. In the evenings, we recommend covering up and using an insect repellent containing DEET or similar. There is no need to bring bulky beach towels as these are provided and changed each day. Bed linen, towels and toiletries are all provided and there is a boutique on-board for essential purchases.
Many of our passengers fall in love with the friendly nature of Fijian's and are especially taken with the wide-eyed curiosity of the children. The villagers do not expect gifts from our passengers, but many of our passengers ask us what items they can bring to give away to village children. School supplies (pens, pencils, crayons, drawing / colouring books, notepads and the like) are always most welcome as are sports items such as rugby and soccer balls. Items of clothing are also well received. We do not suggest school books as the importation of educational material is subject to Ministry of Education approval.
Oh and don’t forget your camera and a sense of fun!
